Orioles Reinstate Colton Cowser After Thumb Injury

The Baltimore Orioles have reinstated outfielder Colton Cowser from the 60-day injured list after he missed significant time due to a fractured left thumb suffered in late March. Cowser, last season's AL Rookie of the Year runner-up with 24 home runs, returns after a strong rehab assignment, going 8-for-20 with four doubles, a home run, and four RBIs. He is expected to be the primary left fielder and could also fill in at center field because of Cedric Mullins' hamstring injury.
