Convicted Murderer Arrested In NH With Kidnapped Mass. Teen

Christopher Rodriguez, a 40-year-old convicted murderer, was arrested in Manchester, New Hampshire, on charges including kidnapping a juvenile and endangering the welfare of a child after a missing 15-year-old from North Andover, Massachusetts, was safely recovered. Authorities say Rodriguez allegedly lured the teenager away and may have been involved with the juvenile since 2023. Rodriguez was convicted in 2000 for second-degree murder related to a 1999 armed robbery in New York City and was released from prison in July 2017. The arrest followed an investigation into deceptive statements Rodriguez made during a police encounter earlier in August and was executed by the U.S. Marshals Service in coordination with multiple local law enforcement agencies. The teenager has been returned to the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, and Rodriguez is awaiting a hearing. The successful operation was supported by various police departments and sheriff's offices across New Hampshire.
