Law enforcement agencies across India have made significant strides in combating snatching and theft gangs. In Amritsar (Rural), six suspects were arrested with weapons and mobile phones, linked to armed robberies, including a notorious member with a history of serious crimes. Meanwhile, in Delhi and Haryana, eight members of a chain-snatching gang, including four women, were apprehended following complaints from victims, leading to the recovery of stolen gold chains. The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police also dismantled a gang involved in multiple snatchings, arresting three individuals, including two juveniles, and seizing motorcycles and weapons. Additionally, in Visakhapatnam, two suspects were arrested for a house burglary, leading to the recovery of stolen gold and silver. These coordinated efforts reflect a broader commitment to enhance public safety and address rising crime rates across different regions.
