Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany have donated $5 million to Texas Tech University, his alma mater, to support the renovation of the south end zone of Jones AT&T Stadium and the Dustin R. Womble Football Center. This donation completes the school's 'Campaign for Fearless Champions,' pushing the fundraising total to $115 million. In recognition, Texas Tech will name several areas, including the walkthrough area, the quarterback meeting room, and the offensive coordinator’s office, after Mahomes. Mahomes also announced the 'Team Mahomes' NIL class, selecting six Texas Tech athletes to serve as ambassadors for his Adidas brand. Mahomes frequently attends Texas Tech games and has been a consistent supporter of the university, contributing to various projects and initiatives.
