Sheffield Man Charged with Murder by Dangerous Driving

Hassan Jhangur, a 23-year-old from Sheffield, was charged with the murder by dangerous driving of Chris Marriott, a father of two who was assisting an injured woman when a car mounted the pavement. Ten other individuals were injured in the event. Jhangur appeared via video link at Sheffield Crown Court and was remanded into custody. The next court appearance is scheduled for 25 March, during which Jhangur will enter a plea. Marriott is remembered by his family as a 'wonderful husband, dad, brother, uncle and friend to many'.
