Katie Price Faces Criticism After Hairless Cat Sunburn Amid Animal Welfare Concerns

Katie Price has faced significant criticism from animal rights organization PETA after one of her expensive hairless sphynx cats was seen with sunburn during a recent heatwave. Despite applying sunscreen, Price's cat, named Kevin, showed visible redness, prompting PETA's Elisa Allen to accuse Price of repeatedly ignoring pet care advice and neglecting her animals. PETA emphasizes that hairless or light-furred cats are highly susceptible to sunburn and should be kept indoors or provided with vet-approved sunscreen and ample shade when outside. The organization has previously called for legal action to prevent Price from acquiring more pets and even offered her money to stop obtaining animals, following the deaths of several of her pets. Among these incidents, four of her dogs were fatally hit by vehicles near her home, and one of her horses was killed after escaping a field and being struck by a car in 2017. Price has also experienced other tragic pet losses, including a dog that died from suffocation after getting trapped and reportedly being given cannabis oil without her knowledge of its legality.
