Wolves have agreed to an £8.5 million transfer for 17-year-old right back Pedro Lima from Brazilian club Sport Recife. Lima, who has represented Brazil at the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup, will join Wolves on a five-year contract starting July 1, his 18th birthday, pending a medical. Although Chelsea had shown interest in signing Lima for their partner club Strasbourg, Wolves managed to secure the deal. Lima has been playing senior club football since January and hopes to break into Wolves' first team, which finished 14th in the Premier League last season. Sport Recife confirmed the transfer, subject to customary conditions including Lima passing a medical examination.
