Stamford Crash Seriously Injures SUV Driver, Closes Long Ridge Road
A serious crash occurred on Long Ridge Road near Roxbury Road in Stamford involving a 2007 Sterling dump truck and a 2024 Kia EV6 SUV. The dump truck was slowing for a red light when the Kia rear-ended it, causing severe damage to the SUV. The 48-year-old driver of the Kia sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle, while the dump truck driver suffered minor injuries. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor. Both vehicles were towed, and Long Ridge Road was closed for approximately three hours during the investigation, which is being conducted by the Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the squad at 203-977-4712.
