Team GB brings in chef

Team GB has resorted to bringing in an extra chef to their performance lodge in Clichy due to complaints about food shortages and the quality of meals served in the Olympic village, including instances of raw meat. With just one day before the opening ceremony, British athletes are dissatisfied with the catering, which has resulted in them packing lunches to avoid the village restaurants. Andy Anson, chief executive of the British Olympic Association, emphasized the inadequacy of food options, citing shortages of eggs, chicken, and carbohydrates. The catering partner, Sodexo Live!, has acknowledged supply issues and is working to increase food availability. Organizers had initially promised high-quality meals prepared by Michelin-starred chefs, but the reality has fallen short. Anson has called for dramatic improvements to the food situation in the coming days.
