Stardust Power Breaks Ground on $1.2B Lithium Refinery in Oklahoma

Stardust Power Inc. has officially broken ground on its $1.2 billion lithium refinery at the Southside Industrial Park in Muskogee, Oklahoma, with plans to produce up to 50,000 metric tons of battery-grade lithium annually. The ceremony included local and state officials, highlighting the project's significance for U.S. national security and supply chain resilience. The refinery, which will be developed in two phases, is expected to create hundreds of jobs in engineering, manufacturing, and operations, alongside construction roles. CEO Roshan Pujari emphasized the importance of onshoring critical mineral manufacturing to boost America's energy leadership and safeguard against foreign consolidation of resources. The site is strategically located near key transportation networks and has received strong community support.
