Perfume Genius Releases New Album Glory

Perfume Genius, the musical project of Mike Hadreas, is set to release his seventh studio album, 'Glory', on March 28 under Matador Records. The album, produced by Blake Mills and co-written with Hadreas' partner Alan Wyffels, explores themes of personal struggle and growth, presenting a more confessional tone compared to his previous work. The lead single, 'It's a Mirror,' reflects Hadreas' ongoing battle with overwhelming thoughts and feelings of isolation, while hinting at a desire for connection and beauty beyond his current state. The album is characterized by a collaborative effort featuring musicians like Meg Duffy, Greg Uhlmann, and Aldous Harding, aiming to embrace live musicianship. Hadreas is also planning a U.S. tour from May to June to promote the new album. The music video for 'It's a Mirror,' directed by Cody Critchloe, has already been released.
