Mary J. Blige Seeks Dismissal of $5M Harassment Lawsuit by Misa Hylton

Mary J. Blige has strongly denied the $5 million lawsuit filed by her former stylist Misa Hylton, calling the claims "utterly meritless" and accusing Hylton and her legal team of fabricating accusations to harass Blige and coerce a settlement. The suit alleges Blige interfered with Hylton's management contract with rapper Vado, who is signed to Blige's label, by withholding his completed album and blocking touring opportunities to pressure him into ending his agreement with Hylton’s company, M.I.S.A. Management. Blige's legal team contends that M.I.S.A. Management is not a valid legal entity and thus lacks standing, and that Blige herself is not a party to Vado’s recording contract, making the claims baseless. Blige is seeking dismissal of the case as well as sanctions against Hylton and her attorney for pursuing what she describes as a frivolous lawsuit. Hylton's attorney expressed that the dispute was deeply personal and that legal action was a last resort after attempts to resolve the matter privately.
