Buffalo Bills Reported to Plan More NFL Games in Canada Amid New MLSE Partnership
The Buffalo Bills have formed a new partnership with the Toronto Argonauts and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) to grow youth football and engage fans in Canada, particularly in Southern Ontario. This collaboration includes youth camps, apparel collaborations, watch parties, and joint events to promote football and strengthen the Bills' brand in the Canadian market. While the Bills previously played regular-season NFL games in Toronto between 2008 and 2013, the current partnership does not include plans to host NFL games in Canada at this time. However, Bills COO Pete Guelli acknowledged that playing a game in Canada in the future remains a possibility, though MLSE CEO Keith Pelley noted it has not been a topic of discussion. The partnership aims to leverage the shared passion for football across the border and create opportunities for thousands of young fans, with Toronto sports legends Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, and Jozy Altidore also involved as Bills minority shareholders. Expanding the sport's footprint in Canada aligns with the NFL's broader global strategy to grow football internationally, though logistical and fan loyalty challenges remain considerations for any future games abroad.
