Arsenal Women Beat Valerenga 4-1 in Champions League

Arsenal Women's team celebrated a much-needed 4-1 victory against Valerenga in their first Women's Champions League match since the resignation of manager Jonas Eidevall. Assistant coach Renee Slegers took over on an interim basis and witnessed a quick start with Emily Fox scoring in the second minute, followed by Caitlin Foord doubling the lead shortly after. Although Olaug Tvedten pulled one back for Valerenga before halftime, late goals from Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo secured the win. This victory marked Arsenal's first points in the group stage after a disappointing loss to Bayern Munich previously. The win alleviated some pressure on the club, which has struggled with form, sitting sixth in the Women’s Super League with only one win from four matches.
