Jacob Elordi's 'The Narrow Road to the Deep North' Premieres on Prime Video April 18

The highly anticipated limited series 'The Narrow Road to the Deep North,' starring Jacob Elordi, is set to premiere on Prime Video in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Adapted from Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize-winning novel, the series follows Australian Army medical officer Dorrigo Evans, portrayed by Elordi, as he endures the harrowing conditions of a Japanese POW camp during World War II and is haunted by memories of a passionate affair with Amy Mulvaney. The story unfolds across three timeframes, exploring both the brutality of the Burma-Thailand railway and the enduring psychological impact on Evans, whose older self is played by Ciarán Hinds. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Justin Kurzel and written by Shaun Grant, the series has received critical acclaim since its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. Elordi, returning to Australian television for the first time in years, emphasized the personal significance of working on a project deeply rooted in Australian history and identity.
