Formula 1's global fanbase has surged to 826.5 million in 2024, an increase of nearly 90 million from the previous year, driven primarily by a 39% rise in interest from China, coinciding with the upcoming Chinese Grand Prix. The return of the sport to China after a hiatus since 2019, featuring driver Zhou Guanyu, has significantly contributed to this growth, alongside notable increases in Canada (31.5%), Argentina, and Saudi Arabia (both 25.5%). The American market has also seen a positive trend with a 10.5% increase, culminating in approximately 52 million fans. In addition to fan growth, Formula 1 has achieved record TV viewership for events like the Miami and Canadian Grands Prix, while digital engagement soared with YouTube highlights attracting 233 million views globally.
