The deceased was a woman in her 70s, and the injured included three men and eight women, all senior citizens from Japan, along with the local driver and tour guide. The accident took place in Perak state as the bus was en route to the Cameron Highlands. Initial treatments were administered at the scene before the victims were transported to Taiping Hospital.
