Youth Pastor Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

Charles Goff, a youth leader at Beltway Park Church in Abilene, Texas, has been arrested for possession of child pornography after admitting to soliciting nude photos from minors through social media. Goff confessed to a church member about his struggles with pornography involving girls aged 14 to 15, which led to the police being notified. An investigation revealed that Goff had multiple pornographic videos of young girls on his phone, resulting in his arrest and a $100,000 bond. The church, which has a history of scrutinized leadership within the Southern Baptist Convention, expressed support for the investigation and encouraged members to report any relevant information. Goff had passed background checks in 2022 and 2024 with no prior misconduct detected.
