Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the semi-high-speed Durg-Vishakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express via videoconferencing, reducing travel time from 11 hours to 8 hours, with services starting on September 20. The train features advanced technology, including a top speed of 160 km/h, automatic doors, smoke alarms, and a bacteria-free air conditioning system. This is the second Vande Bharat Express in Chhattisgarh, following the Bilaspur-Nagpur service. Additionally, Modi is set to inaugurate the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail in Gujarat, which connects Bhuj and Ahmedabad, covering 360 km in under six hours. The Namo Bharat service, capable of accommodating over 3,200 passengers, will operate six days a week and is designed with modern amenities. Overall, these train services reflect Modi's vision for enhanced railway connectivity and infrastructure development across India.
