Babymetal, Slaughter To Prevail Release Collab Single Amid Album Delays, North America Tour

Japanese metal band Babymetal and Russian deathcore group Slaughter to Prevail have collaborated on a new single titled "Song 3," which features a fusion of Babymetal's kawaii metal and Slaughter to Prevail's deathcore styles, along with Trivium's Matt Heafy playing the shamisen. The track will appear on both Babymetal's upcoming album "Metal Forth," now delayed to August 8, and Slaughter to Prevail's album "Grizzly," due July 18. Babymetal's "Metal Forth" is a collaboration-heavy album including contributions from artists such as Poppy, Electric Callboy, Spiritbox, and Tom Morello. Babymetal is currently touring Europe, including a landmark May 30 show at London's O2 Arena, and will embark on a North American tour starting June 13 with support from Black Veil Brides, Jinjer, and Bloodywood. Meanwhile, Slaughter to Prevail will perform at multiple U.S. festivals this summer, including Vans Warped Tour, Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock. Both bands have highlighted "Song 3" as a powerful and intense collaboration, blending melodic choruses with heavy growls and deathcore riffs.
