Tim Miller Reveals Earnings from Deadpool

Tim Miller, the director of the original 'Deadpool,' disclosed that he earned only $225,000 for his two years of work on the film, despite its massive success grossing over $782 million at the box office. He expressed that being a first-time director in Hollywood is not particularly profitable and shared that his agent had joked he could earn more directing an episode of 'The Walking Dead.' Miller conveyed a sense of pride in launching the franchise, which has grown to be worth over $2.9 billion, including the recent release 'Deadpool & Wolverine.' He reflected on the overwhelming success of the film and the resulting merchandise, expressing a desire to have a stake in future merchandising profits. The director emphasized that while the initial salary was modest, being part of such a successful franchise made him feel 'uniquely fortunate.'
