Hearts Targets Per-Mathias Hogmo as Coach

Heart of Midlothian has identified Per-Mathias Hogmo as their preferred candidate for the head coach position following a disappointing start to the season that led to the sacking of Steven Naismith. The 64-year-old Norwegian has an extensive coaching background, including league titles with Rosenborg and Hacken, and experience managing Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan. Hogmo, currently out of work, could potentially arrive in Scotland over the weekend if a deal is finalized. Alongside Hogmo, Neil Critchley is also in contention, with discussions ongoing as Hearts seeks a permanent replacement for Naismith. Interim coach Liam Fox has been managing the team since Naismith's departure, and Hearts has engaged Tony Bloom's analytical company to assist in their recruitment process.
