Doobie Brothers to Release New Album in 2025

The Doobie Brothers have announced the upcoming release of their 16th studio album, titled 'Walk This Road', set for 2025, marking the return of Michael McDonald for the first time in over 40 years. Founding member Pat Simmons shared the news in a year-end Facebook post, reflecting on the band's nearly 56 years together and their successful touring in 2024, which included performances with the Eagles and other artists. The album will feature 10 new songs sung by Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, and Pat Simmons, highlighting their collaborative songwriting efforts. The band expressed pride in their recording process and plans to debut a song soon after the new year, with the full album expected in Spring/Summer 2025. This release follows McDonald’s last collaboration on the 2014 album 'Southbound', making this a notable return to original material.
