Fatal Motorcycle and Bicycle Accidents Worldwide

A man, Irineo Eder, aged 79, died following a bicycle accident on Kauai’s Kaumualii Highway after being struck by a truck; he was not wearing a helmet, and no charges were filed against the truck driver as speed and impairment were not factors. Multiple motorcycle accidents resulted in fatalities over the weekend: in High Heath, the driver of a Triumph Rocket died in a collision with a car and another motorbike, while in Rutland, a motorcyclist died following a collision with a car, leaving his passenger injured. A motorcyclist in his 30s also died on the A5 in Northamptonshire following a crash with two cars. In Pomona, California, a motorcyclist died after colliding with a car, with the other driver sustaining minor injuries, and drugs or alcohol were not suspected. In Dublin, a motorcyclist in his 50s died in a collision with a car, marking the 28th road fatality in Ireland this year.
