He recalled that Michael Jordan declined to collaborate with him after a tense moment with 50 Cent at the 2005 MTV VMAs, with a Jordan executive explaining they preferred to avoid controversy. Similarly, his Reebok deal was canceled after the company learned of his feud with Jay-Z, with Reebok executives unwilling to do business if both rappers were involved. Fat Joe acknowledged this as karma, noting that he had similarly impacted others in the industry. Additionally, Fat Joe is currently involved in a $20 million lawsuit with his former hype man Terrance Dixon, who has made serious allegations against him, which Fat Joe vehemently denies. The legal issues have also reportedly affected his business opportunities, including lost sponsorships and halted negotiations for his grooming brand.
