Martin Truex Jr. Joins TRICON Garage for Daytona 500

Martin Truex Jr. is set to attempt the Daytona 500 in 2025, driving the No. 56 Toyota Camry for TRICON Garage, marking the team's inaugural entry into the NASCAR Cup Series. This effort will reunite Truex with his former crew chief Cole Pearn, with whom he won the 2017 championship, and will be supported technically by Joe Gibbs Racing. Bass Pro Shops will serve as the primary sponsor for the entry. Truex has expressed excitement about the opportunity and the chance to win the prestigious race, having previously competed in it 20 times without a victory. The Daytona 500 is scheduled for February 16, and Truex will need to qualify for a spot as the team does not hold a charter. The No. 56 entry is among the seven open teams aiming for one of the available spots in the race.
