Former Lubbock Police Investigator Arrested in Prostitution Sting

Eric Harris, a 68-year-old former Special Investigator with the Lubbock Police Department, was arrested on April 14, 2025, during an undercover prostitution operation conducted by the LPD's Vice Unit. The operation, part of a demand-reduction effort aimed at discouraging human trafficking, led to six felony arrests for solicitation of prostitution. Harris made contact with an undercover officer and arranged to meet at a hotel, where he was arrested shortly before 12:30 p.m. He had previously retired from the department in August 2020 and was re-hired in January 2023.
