Despite initially being included in the squad with hopes of a quick recovery, medical advice led to her withdrawal as her recovery timeline did not align with the tournament's pool phase. Caslick underwent ankle surgery and was unable to meet the accelerated recovery goals set to return during the competition. She expressed her disappointment on social media but remains committed to her rehabilitation. In her place, the uncapped 18-year-old Manu'a Moleka, who has impressed during the international test season and previously scored twice against Samoa, has been called up to join the squad.
