Inversion Unveils Arc Spacecraft for Rapid Global Cargo Delivery and Hypersonic Testing

Inversion, a Los Angeles-based aerospace and defense company, has unveiled Arc, a reusable spacecraft designed to deliver up to 500 pounds of mission-critical cargo anywhere on Earth in under an hour. Arc operates from low-Earth orbit, capable of hypersonic reentry with a cross-range of about 621 miles, and lands autonomously under parachutes using non-toxic propulsion, allowing safe handling immediately after touchdown. The spacecraft can remain in orbit for up to five years, ready to respond rapidly, and is intended to form constellations tailored to customer needs, primarily targeting military logistics for austere or denied environments. Beyond cargo delivery, Arc serves as a hypersonic testing platform, capable of speeds exceeding Mach 20, contributing to faster, more affordable testing for defense applications. Inversion's previous spacecraft, Ray, launched in January 2025 and validated key subsystems, providing a foundation for Arc's development, with the first mission planned for 2026. The company's vision is to establish space as a new global logistics domain, enhancing defense readiness and operational reach worldwide.
