Paramount+ Orders NOLA King Starring Samuel L. Jackson

Paramount+ has officially greenlit 'NOLA King,' a spinoff of the hit series 'Tulsa King,' starring Samuel L. Jackson in his first lead television role. Jackson will portray Russell Lee Washington Jr., described as a former prison friend of Dwight Manfredi, who is sent by the Renzetti crime family to kill Dwight but instead becomes inspired by him. Washington's character will debut in 'Tulsa King' season 3 before leading the new series set in New Orleans. The story centers on Washington's efforts to reclaim his life and power in New Orleans, facing opposition from both criminal elements and law enforcement. Executive producers include Taylor Sheridan, Sylvester Stallone, Samuel L. Jackson, and others, with production by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. Paramount+ aims to leverage Jackson’s global appeal to expand 'Tulsa King' into a flagship franchise.
