Second Suspect Charged in Adan Manzano's Murder, Investigation Ongoing

A second suspect, Rickey White, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Kansas City sports reporter Adan Manzano, who was found dead in his New Orleans hotel room while covering the Super Bowl. White was initially arrested on robbery and fraud charges but now joins Danette Colbert, the first person charged with Manzano's murder. Surveillance footage showed Colbert with Manzano prior to his death, and authorities later found Manzano's phone and credit card at her residence, which had been used fraudulently. Toxicology reports indicate Manzano died from a lethal combination of Xanax and alcohol, with asphyxiation as a contributing factor; he was not prescribed Xanax, but the drug was found at Colbert’s home. Colbert has a history of similar alleged crimes involving drugging and robbing men. The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine the precise circumstances and manner of Manzano's death.
