2025 Soccer Seasons and Events Announced

Louisville City FC has released its 2025 schedule, starting with a match against the Charleston Battery on March 7 and a home opener against Loudoun United FC on March 22. The schedule consists of 30 regular season games and four USL Jägermeister Cup group stage matches. The expanded FIFA Club World Cup in 2025 will feature 32 teams, including Manchester City, Chelsea, and Inter Miami, from June 15 to July 13. In the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division, the new season kicks off on February 14, 2025, with Derry City facing reigning champions Shelbourne. Tiernan Lynch will begin his role as Derry City's manager during this opening match, succeeding Ruaidhri Higgins after a disappointing FAI Cup final loss. Other matches on the opening weekend include Cork City versus Galway United and St Patrick's Athletic against Drogheda United.
