5-Year-Old Exodus Crockett Struck, Killed by School Bus

A tragic incident in Granbury, Texas, has left a school community mourning after a 5-year-old boy, Exodus Crockett, was fatally struck by a school bus on March 17, 2025. The Granbury Independent School District Superintendent, Dr. Courtney Morawski, expressed the community's heartbreak and stated that the district is cooperating with law enforcement to investigate the incident. A candlelight vigil is planned to honor the child's life, and supportive resources, including chaplains and counselors, are being provided to the community. The incident has raised concerns among residents about the lack of traffic control measures, such as stop signs and crosswalks, at the bus stop location.
