Kaden Groves outsprinted Wout van Aert to win stage 14 of the Vuelta a España, marking his second victory in this year's race, while Ben O'Connor retained his overall lead. The 200.5km stage from Villafranca Del Bierzo to Villablino concluded in a bunch sprint, with New Zealand's Corbin Strong finishing third. Groves expressed surprise at the sprint finish, noting it felt like a 'drag race' against Van Aert. Primož Roglič suffered a mechanical issue in the final stages but managed to rejoin the peloton. The stage featured an early six-rider breakaway that was controlled and reeled in by the peloton. Sunday's Stage 15 will cover 143km from Infiesto to Valgrande-Pajares.
