Eight Train Cars Derail in Cincinnati
On Saturday night, eight to nine train cars derailed in the Queensgate area of Cincinnati, with at least one car falling into Mill Creek. The train, which was transporting new automobiles, was moving at about two miles per hour during the incident and was not carrying hazardous materials. The Sixth Street Viaduct was struck by the derailment, leading to its closure for several hours, though it was later deemed structurally sound by ODOT engineers. Fortunately, there are no reported injuries related to the derailment. The cause of the incident remains under investigation by authorities. Multiple local news outlets are continuing to cover updates on the situation.
