Husband Charged with Murder, Rape Following Wife's Death in London

Pankaj Lamba has been charged with the murder of his wife, Harshita Brella, whose body was found in the boot of a car in Ilford, London, on November 14, 2024. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has also charged him with two counts of rape, sexual assault, and controlling or coercive behavior. Authorities believe Lamba fled the UK following Brella's death, which police suspect occurred in Corby on November 10. The charges against him were formally laid at Northampton Magistrates’ Court. Meanwhile, police in India have arrested Lamba's parents in a separate investigation linked to dowry death allegations. The case remains active as detectives continue to seek justice for Brella and her family.
