Dussehra Celebrations Mark Triumph of Good Over Evil

Dussehra celebrations across India showcased a vibrant mix of tradition and community spirit, highlighted by the burning of large effigies of Ravana, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. In Kanpur, over 50,000 spectators enjoyed a spectacular laser show and fireworks during the Ram Lila, while effigies were burnt in various localities, drawing significant public participation. Meanwhile, Delhi prepared for Dussehra 2024 with India's tallest effigy at 211 feet, complemented by extensive security measures. In Jammu, large effigies were also set ablaze, with cultural performances reinforcing the festival's themes of unity and hope. Jaipur witnessed over 4,000 effigies being burnt across 80 venues, accompanied by food stalls and cultural programs that attracted large crowds. Additionally, Punjab and Haryana celebrated with towering effigies and political leaders extending festive greetings, emphasizing the festival's enduring message of righteousness.
