UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has unveiled a comprehensive AI Opportunities Action Plan, aiming to harness artificial intelligence to boost economic growth and enhance public services. The plan includes the establishment of AI Growth Zones, starting with one in Oxfordshire, designed to streamline planning permissions for data centers and enhance the energy grid's capacity. Tech firms have pledged £14 billion towards this initiative, which aims to create over 13,000 jobs and significantly increase the UK’s computing capabilities.
