Charges Filed in Johnny Wactor's Murder

Four individuals have been charged in connection with the murder of 'General Hospital' actor Johnny Wactor, who was fatally shot on May 25 in downtown Los Angeles. Robert Barceleau and Sergio Estrada, both 18, face charges including murder, attempted robbery, and grand theft, with Barceleau facing a special circumstance allegation that could result in life without parole. Leonel Gutierrez, 18, is charged with attempted robbery and grand theft, while Frank Olano, 22, faces charges of being an accessory after the fact and possession of stolen property and firearms. Wactor was killed after interrupting the suspects who were attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car. The arrests and charges followed a series of police raids based on evidence, including fingerprints found on a floor jack used in the crime. District Attorney George Gascón emphasized the commitment to seeking justice for Wactor, whose death has sparked calls for stricter crime measures in Los Angeles.
