Two Separate Fatal Accidents Involving School Buses in Westchester County and Kleinburg

Tragedy struck in two separate incidents involving school buses in Westchester County, NY, and Kleinburg, Ontario. In Westchester County, a child was fatally struck near Mamaroneck Avenue School when the bus driver attempted to avoid a swerving car, speeding up and hitting the child in the crosswalk. Meanwhile, in Kleinburg, a six-year-old boy was killed by a school bus in the area of Pierre Berton Boulevard and Kleinburg Summit Way around 8 a.m. The bus driver remained at the scene, and York Regional Police are conducting an investigation.
