Recent riots in the UK have led to several youths being sentenced for violent disorder. A 16-year-old boy from Bolton was sentenced to a youth rehabilitation order for attacking a convenience store. In Southport, a 12-year-old boy received a three-month curfew and a 12-month referral order for throwing stones at police during riots sparked by a stabbing attack. Another 12-year-old boy in Southport was given a 12-month referral order for throwing objects at police. A 14-year-old boy in Manchester was sentenced to a 12-month community sentence for throwing bricks at a police van. Additionally, 19-year-old Lennox Crockett from Middlesbrough received an 18-month sentence for participating in the Hartlepool riots and possessing drugs.
