Hormel Foods Corporation has voluntarily recalled approximately 256,185 pounds of Dinty Moore Beef Stew after three consumer complaints reported pieces of wood in the product. The recall covers 20-ounce cans produced on February 4, 2025, with a 'BEST BY FEB 2028' date, lot code 'T02045' (which may include an additional number), and establishment number 'EST 199G.' The affected products were shipped to retailers nationwide. No injuries have been reported, but the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) classified the recall as Class I due to the risk of serious health consequences. Consumers are urged to return or dispose of the affected cans, and FSIS is ensuring their removal from store shelves.
