Multiple U.S. Incidents Involving Officer Injuries

Law enforcement agencies across the United States are dealing with several vehicular incidents. In Boone, N.C., police are seeking public assistance in identifying a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run that killed Terry Turbyfill on September 28. In Somerset County, N.J., a Plainfield man died after being hit by a van on Route 22, with no charges filed against the driver. In Brooklyn, a police officer was injured during a pursuit involving a reckless driver who was subsequently arrested. Gwinnett County, Ga. experienced an illegal street racing incident, resulting in the arrest of an 18-year-old who nearly struck an officer. Meanwhile, in Hinesville, Ga., a traffic control officer was hit by a vehicle and taken to the hospital with back pain.
