League of Women Voters Hosts Candidate Events

The League of Women Voters is spearheading a series of events and forums aimed at engaging and educating voters ahead of the upcoming general elections. In Coastal Georgia, a forum for Chatham County District Attorney candidates will be held on September 16, featuring Democratic incumbent Shalena Cook Jones and Republican challenger Andre Pretorius. In Minnesota, a voter registration drive will take place on National Voter Registration Day, September 17, hosted by the League of Women Voters of the Red River Valley and the Livingston Lord Library. Additionally, the League of Women Voters of the Lewisburg Area will kick off its Fall Forum Series with a talk by political science professor Nick Clark on what to expect in the upcoming election. In South Bend, an online discussion led by chief deputy clerk of elections Trisha Carrico will focus on voter registration and absentee ballot changes. Lastly, the League of Women Voters of Sarasota County will host multiple candidate forums, starting with the North Port City Commission on September 23.
