Pedestrian in Wheelchair Killed in Louisville Hit-and-Run; Police Seek Suspect

Early on Oct. 26 in the Okolona neighborhood of Louisville, a pedestrian in a wheelchair was struck and killed in a hit-and-run at the intersection of Preston Highway and Industrial Boulevard, Louisville Metro Police said. Officers arrived around 12:15 a.m., found the victim pronounced dead at the scene and an unoccupied/abandoned vehicle nearby. Police said the occupant(s) of the vehicle fled on foot before officers arrived, no suspects have been identified, and the victim’s identity has not been released. LMPD is asking anyone with information to call the anonymous Crime Tip Line at 502-574-5673 or submit tips through the department’s online Crime Tip Portal. Investigators continue to urge the public to come forward as they search for the person(s) responsible.
