Over 1,300 Israeli Academics Warn of Moral Collapse Over Gaza War

Over 1,300 Israeli academics, under the Black Flag Action Group, have issued a striking open letter condemning Israel's ongoing war in Gaza as a series of war crimes and crimes against humanity, warning that continued violence risks a moral collapse within Israeli society. Meanwhile, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Sigrid Kaag, has warned of an unfolding humanitarian crisis in Gaza, urging Israel to halt strikes on civilians and allow full humanitarian access, while calling for a cessation of hostilities by all armed groups and a renewed commitment to peace based on mutual recognition and justice. An upcoming international conference co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia aims to seek a durable resolution to the conflict and revive the two-state solution.
