Many passengers described the conditions as reminiscent of a 'Third-World situation', with one noting the unpleasant smell of sewage wafting through the corridors. Joe Rhodes, a passenger documenting his experience, highlighted that nothing aboard the ship has lived up to expectations, from the food to the amenities, and expressed frustration over the overall lack of functionality. After arriving at their first destination in Brest, passengers faced further complications, including being stranded due to inadequate port staffing. While repairs have since improved conditions, the initial experience has left many feeling disappointed and disillusioned with the cruise promised to be a luxury voyage. Despite the rocky start, some passengers report that things have improved since arriving in Bilbao.
