Trust & Will secures $25M in Series C funding

Trust & Will, a San Diego-based digital estate planning platform, has successfully closed a $25 million Series C funding round, bringing its total funding to $75 million. The round was led by Moderne Ventures, with participation from Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures, UBS Next, and Erie Strategic Ventures. The investment will enhance Trust & Will's platform by incorporating artificial intelligence and expanding its partnerships in estate planning. Co-founder and CEO Cody Barbo emphasized the importance of combining technology with human oversight to make estate planning more accessible and affordable for families. The company aims to address the significant gap in estate planning, as only 31% of Americans have a will despite 83% recognizing its importance. Trust & Will has served over one million customers, providing legally valid documents tailored to meet state requirements.
