Nayanthara Discusses Career Break and Love

Nayanthara, the 'Lady Superstar' of the South film industry, revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she quit films in 2011 due to a belief that love required compromise, influenced by her then-relationship with Prabhu Deva. At that time, she felt sacrificing her career was necessary to maintain love, shaped by observing various relationship dynamics in the industry. This decision, though challenging, became a pivotal moment in her life, helping her discover her inner strength and potential. Nayanthara credits this experience for transforming her into a different person and enabling her successful comeback. She eventually found a new perspective on love with her now-husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, whom she met while working on the film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan'.
