Hollywood police have identified the man fatally shot by an officer as 48-year-old Juan Wu, following a dispute with a neighbor over a shared fence. The incident occurred on October 10 when police were called to the scene after a neighbor reported vandalism. During the officer's investigation, Wu allegedly attacked the officer, prompting the use of a Taser, which was ineffective. Fearing for his life, the officer then discharged his firearm, striking Wu, who later died at a local hospital. The officer also sustained injuries but was treated and released.
